Supplies I Recommend—and Use!
Watercolor Paint
Here’s where is all starts! I have several sets if paints but I tend to use the same ones over and over. Depending if you prefer to buy a set already put together or build your own over time, these are bother great starting points.
Mei Liang -Set of 24 watercolors in pans
NOTE: I do not recommend the set of 36 as I think some of the colors are of lesser quality in that set.
Winsor Newton Cotman Set of 12 tubes
If you prefer tube paints, this would be a good starter set
Watercolor Brushes
I almost always use a number 10 round in my tutorials and a decent one can be versatile for small spaces but can handle larger washes as well. I am not a fan of brushes sold in sets as you will not use all of them and they tend to be lower quality. These are brushes I would recommend:
Winsor Newton Cotman #10 Round
Princeton Neptune Series #10 Round
Princeton Snap Series #10 Round
